Clive Cussler
Clive Cussler (1931-2020) was an American adventure novelist and marine archaeologist, best known for his thrilling novels featuring the character Dirk Pitt. He founded the National Underwater and Marine Agency (NUMA) and discovered over 60 historically significant shipwrecks. Cussler was also a fellow of the Explorers Club, the Royal Geographical Society, and the American Society of Oceanographers.
