Michael Crichton

Michael Crichton (1942–2008) was an American author, screenwriter, and filmmaker known for his meticulously researched popular thrillers that often explore the ramifications of advancing technology. He earned an MD from Harvard Medical School but chose to focus on writing, producing 25 novels including Jurassic Park, which became a blockbuster film. Crichton was also a successful television producer and director, notably creating the series ER.
