Thomas Sowell is an American economist and social commentator, known for his conservative and libertarian views. He is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and has authored more than 45 books on politics, economics, education, and race. Sowell received the National Humanities Medal in 2003.
