Andre Norton

Andre Norton, born Alice Mary Norton (1912-2005), was a pioneering American author of science fiction and fantasy, known for her extensive work in young adult literature. She published over 130 novels across a career spanning more than 70 years and was instrumental in opening the High Hallack Library for genre writers. Norton was the first woman to receive the Grand Master Award from the Science Fiction Writers of America and was honored with numerous lifetime achievement awards.
