Frank McCourt

Frank McCourt (1930–2009) was an Irish-American author and teacher best known for his memoir Angela's Ashes, which recounts his impoverished childhood in Limerick, Ireland. He taught in New York City high schools for thirty years before focusing on writing. His memoir won the Pulitzer Prize and several other prestigious awards.
