World English Bible

Michael Paul Johnson is the creator of the World English Bible (WEB), a modern English translation of the Holy Bible that is freely available for use, publication, and distribution. He began the translation work in 1994, motivated by a sense of divine commission, and completed the project in 2020 with the help of volunteers. Johnson studied Greek and Hebrew independently and used the American Standard Version of 1901 as a base for the translation.
