Jan Karon
Jan Karon, born in 1937 in Lenoir, North Carolina, is an American novelist best known for her New York Times bestselling Mitford series featuring Father Timothy Kavanagh, an Episcopal priest. She began her career in advertising before pursuing her childhood dream of writing novels, with a strong Christian faith influencing her work. Karon has received multiple literary awards and honors, including the Library of Virginia's Literary Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
