
Henry Grayson
Henry Gray (1827–1861) was an English anatomist and surgeon best known for authoring the seminal medical textbook Gray's Anatomy. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society and won the Astley Cooper prize for his work on the spleen. Gray was a lecturer on anatomy at St George's Hospital Medical School in London and collaborated with illustrator Henry Vandyke Carter to produce his influential anatomy texts.
