Stephen E. Ambrose

Stephen Edward Ambrose (1936–2002) was an American historian and author renowned for his engaging narratives on World War II and biographies of U.S. presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon. He was a professor at the University of New Orleans and founder of the National D-Day Museum. Ambrose's works have been widely popular and influential in shaping public memory of American military history.
