Richard Haass

Richard N. Haass is an American diplomat and author, known for his extensive work on American foreign policy. He served as president of the Council on Foreign Relations for twenty years and held key roles in the U.S. government, including director of policy planning at the State Department and special assistant to President George H.W. Bush. Haass is a Rhodes Scholar with degrees from Oberlin College and Oxford University.
