Max Brand

Frederick Schiller Faust (1892–1944), known by his pen name Max Brand, was a prolific American author primarily famous for his Western novels. He wrote nearly 400 Westerns including 'The Untamed' and 'Destry Rides Again,' and also created the popular character Dr. James Kildare. Faust wrote under more than twenty pseudonyms and produced works in multiple genres, with a total literary output estimated between 25 to 30 million words.
