L. T. Meade

Elizabeth Thomasina Meade Smith (1844–1914), known by her pen name L. T. Meade, was a prolific Irish author born in Bandon, County Cork. She wrote over 280 books, primarily girls' stories, but also mysteries, romances, historical novels, and adventure fiction. She was a feminist and active in women's literary circles in London.
