L. J. Smith
L. J. Smith (Lisa Jane Smith) was an American author born on September 4, 1965, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was best known for her young adult fiction series such as The Vampire Diaries and Night World, which have been New York Times bestsellers and adapted into television series. She held a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology and taught elementary and special education before becoming a full-time writer.
