James Oliver Curwood
James Oliver Curwood (1878–1927) was an American action-adventure writer and conservationist known for his novels set in the northern wilderness of Canada and Alaska. He was one of the highest paid authors of his time and his works inspired numerous film adaptations. Curwood was also active in conservation efforts in Michigan.
