Gregory Maguire

Gregory Maguire is an American novelist born in 1954 in Albany, New York. He is best known for his novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, which reimagines the story of the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz. Maguire has written numerous novels for both adults and children, often inspired by classic children's stories. He has also been active in children's literature education and has received several fellowships and residencies.
