D.H. Lawrence

David Herbert Lawrence (1885–1930) was an English novelist, poet, short story writer, playwright, essayist, and painter. He is regarded as one of the most influential English novelists of the 20th century, known for his modernist works that explore themes of modernity, social alienation, sexuality, and instinct. His most famous novel, Lady Chatterley's Lover, was controversial and banned for its explicit content but later recognized for its literary value.
