Anne Perry

Anne Perry (1938–2023) was a British author known for her historical detective fiction, particularly the Thomas and Charlotte Pitt series and the William Monk series set in Victorian England. She began her publishing career with The Cater Street Hangman in 1979, which introduced the Pitt characters. Perry won the Edgar Award in 2000 for her short story "Heroes" and received multiple literary honors including the Premio de Honor Aragón Negro and a lifetime achievement award at the Agatha Awards.
