City of the Lost: A Rockton Novel
Kelley Armstrong's pivot from urban fantasy to crime fiction pays off with a morally compromised detective, an off-grid Canadian town full of secrets, and Thérèse Plummer's stellar narration. Strong isolated-setting mystery with a slow-burn romance that occasionally sidelines the investigation.
