Books in This Series
Royal Ranger: The Red Fox Clan
A solid next-generation Ranger's Apprentice entry where Maddie's secret identity tension outshines the actual villain threat. Good narration with one notable character-voice misfire, but the abrupt cliffhanger ending will frustrate completionists.
Duel at Araluen
Maddie's solo rescue mission across two sieges is fast-paced and satisfying middle grade adventure. Narration has quirks but works fine, especially at 1.25x speed.
Royal Ranger: The Missing Prince
A competent, enjoyable fourth Royal Ranger installment where Maddie and Will go undercover in Gallica to rescue a missing prince. Keating's long familiarity with the series shows, but the book lacks the voltage of early Ranger's Apprentice - best for readers already invested in Maddie's arc.
