Books in This Series
Story of Doctor Dolittle
A free, surprisingly engaging LibriVox dramatization that kept two kids mesmerized for 45 minutes straight—just be prepared to skip over some uncomfortably dated racial stereotypes. Perfect for road trips, but parents should screen first.
Dramatized Adaptations & Alternate Editions
Full-cast dramatizations, anniversary recordings, and alternate narrator editions of books in Doctor Dolittle.
Story of Doctor Dolittle (Version 2)
A charming, classic performance of the doctor who talks to animals, marred significantly by 1920s colonialist racism. Great voice acting, but requires a critical ear.
