Zora Neale Hurston

Zora Neale Hurston (1891–1960) was an American writer, anthropologist, folklorist, and key figure of the Harlem Renaissance. She is best known for her novel Their Eyes Were Watching God (1937), which explores African American life in the rural South and is celebrated for its rich prose and use of African American vernacular and folklore. Hurston's work often depicted Black culture as valuable and unique, blending folklore with literary art.
