Zecharia Sitchin

Zecharia Sitchin (1920-2010) was an eminent Orientalist and biblical scholar born in Russia and raised in Palestine. He was proficient in ancient languages including Sumerian and Akkadian, and is best known for his Earth Chronicles series, which proposes that ancient Sumerian culture was influenced by extraterrestrials called the Anunnaki from a planet called Nibiru.
