Winston S. Churchill

Winston S. Churchill (1874-1965) was a British statesman, military officer, historian, and author. He is renowned for his leadership during World War II and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953 for his mastery of historical and biographical description and brilliant oratory. Churchill wrote several books early in his career, including The River War, based on his experiences in the Sudan campaign.
