Walter Scott

Sir Walter Scott (1771–1832) was a Scottish novelist, poet, and historian, widely regarded as the founder of the historical novel genre. He gained immense popularity in the 19th century for his vivid storytelling and detailed historical settings, influencing literature across Europe. Despite financial troubles later in life, he continued to write prolifically until his death.
