W.E.B Dubois

William Edward Burghardt Du Bois (1868–1963) was a pioneering African American sociologist, historian, writer, and civil rights activist. He was the first African American to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard University and was a cofounder of the NAACP. Du Bois was a prolific author and a leading intellectual who worked tirelessly for racial justice and world peace throughout his life.
