Tony Judt

Tony Robert Judt (1948–2010) was a British-American historian and professor specializing in European history. He taught at Cambridge, Oxford, Berkeley, and New York University, where he founded and directed the Remarque Institute. Judt was known for his scholarship on postwar Europe and his role as a public intellectual.
