Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826) was an American Founding Father, the third president of the United States, and the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. He was a lawyer, philosopher, statesman, and advocate for individual rights and democracy. Jefferson also founded the University of Virginia and authored the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom.
