Thomas Cahill

Thomas Cahill (1940–2022) was an American scholar and writer best known for his Hinges of History series, which recounts formative moments in Western civilization. He taught at several universities, served as Director of Religious Publishing at Doubleday, and was a regular contributor to major publications. Cahill was awarded an honorary doctorate from Alfred University and a Christopher Award for his book The Gifts of the Jews.
