Sue Townsend

Sue Townsend (1946–2014) was a British novelist and playwright best known for creating the character Adrian Mole. Despite a late start in reading and leaving school without qualifications, she became one of Britain's most beloved comic writers, blending humor with social commentary. She wrote novels, plays, and journalism, and was recognized with several honorary degrees and awards.
