Soseki Natsume

Natsume Sōseki (1867–1916) was a prominent Japanese novelist and scholar of British literature, best known for his novels Kokoro and Kusamakura. His works explore themes of individualism, loneliness, and the conflict between traditional Japanese values and Westernization during the Meiji era. He is considered one of Japan's greatest modern novelists and his portrait appeared on the Japanese 1,000 yen note.
