Robert Jordan
Robert Jordan, born James Oliver Rigney Jr. in 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina, was an American author best known for his epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time. He served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded several military honors. Jordan wrote extensively under pseudonyms and passed away in 2007 after battling a rare blood disease. His Wheel of Time series is among the highest-selling book series of all time.
