Rebecca Makkai

Rebecca Makkai is an American novelist and short story writer known for her critically acclaimed works including The Great Believers and I Have Some Questions for You. She holds an MA in Literature from Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English and has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, and others. Her work often explores complex human emotions and historical contexts, notably the AIDS epidemic in 1980s Chicago.
