Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882) was an American essayist, lecturer, philosopher, minister, abolitionist, and poet who led the Transcendentalist movement. He championed individualism, self-reliance, and critical thinking, influencing American literature and philosophy profoundly. Emerson was also known for his lectures and essays that encouraged Americans to find their own voice and style.
