Radclyffe Hall

Radclyffe Hall (1880–1943) was an English novelist and poet, best known for her groundbreaking lesbian literature, particularly the 1928 novel The Well of Loneliness. She was a pioneering figure in LGBTQ+ literature and lived openly as a lesbian in a time of social intolerance. Hall received the Gold Medal of the Eichelberger Humane Award in 1930 and was recognized for her literary contributions during her lifetime.
