Rachel Carson

Rachel Carson (1907–1964) was an American marine biologist, writer, and conservationist. She began her career as an aquatic biologist and later became a full-time nature writer. Her 1962 book Silent Spring is credited with advancing the global environmental movement and led to significant changes in pesticide policy.
