Patrick Henry

Patrick Henry (1736–1799) was an American attorney, planter, politician, and Founding Father known for his powerful oratory during the American Revolution. He famously declared "Give me liberty, or give me death!" in a 1775 speech to the Virginia Convention, which helped ignite the fight for independence. Henry served as the first and sixth post-colonial Governor of Virginia and was a staunch advocate for individual rights and state sovereignty.
