Nancy MacLean

Nancy MacLean is an American historian and the William H. Chafe Professor of History and Public Policy at Duke University. Her research focuses on race, gender, labor history, and social movements in 20th-century U.S. history, particularly in the American South. She is an award-winning scholar and teacher, elected a fellow of the Society of American Historians for literary distinction in history and biography writing.
