Michael Blake

Michael Blake (1945–2015) was an American novelist and screenwriter best known for his novel and screenplay of Dances With Wolves. He wrote the novel while struggling financially and later won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film adaptation directed by Kevin Costner. Blake's works often explore Western themes and Native American culture.
