Lucy Fitch Perkins

Lucy Fitch Perkins (1865–1937) was an American children's book author, illustrator, and educator, best known for her popular Twins series which depicted the lives of twin siblings from various cultures and historical periods. She began her writing career later in life and produced over twenty-six volumes in the series, including The Belgian Twins. Her work aimed to foster understanding and appreciation of different cultures among children in America's diverse society.
