Lian Hearn

Lian Hearn is the pseudonym of Gillian Rubinstein, an English-born author educated at Oxford University who currently lives in Australia. She has a lifelong interest in Japan, has studied the Japanese language, and has made many trips there. She is best known for her bestselling Tales of the Otori series, set in a fictional feudal Japan, and has also written the Tale of Shikanoko series and other historical novels.
