Lewis Hodous

Lewis Hodous (1872–1949) was an American Board missionary to China, educator, sinologist, and scholar of Buddhism. He served as a missionary in Foochow, China for sixteen years and later was a professor of Chinese culture and history of religion. Hodous also worked as a translator for the U.S. government during World War II.
