Les Payne

Les Payne was a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist and author who dedicated nearly 30 years to researching and writing the biography of Malcolm X. He was a founder of the National Association of Black Journalists and worked as an editor and columnist at Newsday. Payne's work on Malcolm X was completed posthumously by his daughter, Tamara Payne.
