Lauren Tarshis

Lauren Tarshis is an American author born in 1963, known for her children's books including the New York Times bestselling "I Survived" series. She has written over 25 books in this series, which are historical fiction stories about children surviving various disasters. She is also the author of the award-winning "Emma-Jean Lazarus Fell Out of a Tree" and its sequel, and serves as SVP editor-in-chief and publisher of the Classroom Magazine Division at Scholastic, Inc.
