Laura E. Richards

Laura E. Richards (1850–1943) was an American author known for writing over ninety books including children's stories, poetry, and biographies. She was the daughter of Julia Ward Howe and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1917 for the biography of her mother, co-authored with her sister. She lived much of her life in Gardiner, Maine, and her works often reflect her love for children and morality tales.
