Kabir

Kabir was a 15th-century Indian mystic poet and saint whose writings greatly influenced the Bhakti movement. Born in a Muslim weaver family near Varanasi, he was a disciple of the Hindu ascetic Ramananda and is revered by Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs alike. Kabir's poetry is known for its spiritual insight, criticism of organized religion, and emphasis on the unity of God and humanity.
