Julie Yip-Williams

Julie Yip-Williams (1976–2018) was a Vietnamese-born American lawyer and writer. Born blind in Vietnam, she immigrated to the U.S. as a child, graduated from Williams College and Harvard Law School, and later wrote a candid memoir about her battle with stage IV colon cancer. She passed away at age 42, leaving behind her husband and two daughters.
