John W. Campbell

John W. Campbell Jr. (1910–1971) was an influential American science fiction writer and editor, known for shaping the Golden Age of Science Fiction through his editorship of Astounding Science Fiction magazine. He was also a writer of super-science space opera and moody stories under the pseudonym Don A. Stuart. Campbell held a B.S. in physics from Duke University and was recognized for his scientific background and imaginative storytelling.
