Jesse Lynch Williams

Jesse Lynch Williams (1871–1929) was an American author and dramatist known for his sharp social commentary and humor. He won the first Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1918 for his play Why Marry?, which critiques societal views on marriage. Williams was also a journalist and co-founder of the Princeton Alumni Weekly.
