Jennifer Egan

Jennifer Egan is an American novelist and short story writer born in Chicago and raised in San Francisco. She is best known for her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A Visit from the Goon Squad and her historical novel Manhattan Beach, which won the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction. Egan has also served as president of PEN America and has been recognized for her journalism and literary contributions.
