James E. Talmage

James Edward Talmage (1862–1933) was an English chemist, geologist, and religious leader who served as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1911 until his death. He was also a professor and president at the University of Utah and Brigham Young Academy. Talmage authored several influential religious books that remain classics in Mormon literature.
